My Present:
I head the QA department at PodShow.
Anything that is not working for you on this site or any bad user experience for you is all my fault. That means - I did not do my job well, for which either you can stone me to death, skin me alive, tie me to railway tracks, lick (typo - kick) my ass - [577 2nd Street, SFO], yell at me [(415)247-8645], flame my inbox [s.wagh@podshow.com], or all the above. Whatever way you think is appropriate for you to communicate your issue to me.
My past:
Over 15 years of progressive experience in Business/Product/Engineering/QA Management responsibilities as: Co-founder, VP of Engineering, Chief Architect and Engineering Manager...
Worked for F500 companies and startups alike - Sun Microsystems, Symantec, Hewlett-Packard, Macrovision, Oracle, NCR, Deutsche bank. ITI limited, Optimyz.
Build many GUI test automation tools, Load testing tools and API level testing frameworks - Jamba, JExecute, WebServiceTester [Optimyz], Jemmy, COFF, JtReg, Tonga, JavaTest, JavaStar, JavaLoad [Sun].
Have 3 US patents [pending].
Was Chair for WS-I Testing tools committee.
Has Masters in Neural Networks and DSP from IIT Madras.
My interests:
Tried to learn violin and guitar too, but very soon I realized that music is not my thing, so preferred to listen to it and enjoy. I listen to all kind of music, though I love Indian classical - both vocal and instrumentals, I love native, folk music.
Practiced Karate for seven years [had brown belt with two golden stripes, i forgot what that means now], motivation behind practicing karate was not to kick ass, but to learn how to tolerate all the beatings I used to get. When people stopped beating me, I stopped practicing karate too.
I'm trekking freak, used to trek for straight seven days. I love camping and fishing.
Now at PodShow, I'm also trying podcasting. Check my channels...
Summary:
Overall I'm kind and gentle [though people at job think I'm ass-hole, but that title comes with my job as a head of QA] and fun loving family guy who loves to spend whatever time he can spare with his wife and two year old kid.
Some technical jargon I published in my previous life:
